AWP ACQUIRES FLAGPROS, A WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL COMPANY

Press Releases, September 5, 2017

(North Canton, Ohio) – Area Wide Protective, a leading provider of traffic control services, has acquired FlagPros, a complementary traffic control company based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

“Joining forces with this impressive company helps AWP build a stronger presence in Tennessee and Kentucky, and further broadens our service offerings in both states,” said John Sypek, President and CEO of AWP. “FlagPros, like AWP, is a highly reputable company dedicated to delivering safe, reliable traffic control services to its customers.”

With the addition of FlagPros, AWP expands its presence in Nashville, Louisville, Lexington and surrounding communities. Customers of both companies will begin seeing the advantages of increased service offerings and expanded geographic coverage derived from the acquisition in the coming weeks and months. The integration provides AWP the ability to serve new and existing customers with a professional, highly trained workforce and disciplined, compliant traffic management practices

Since founding FlagPros, Mike Broadwell and Norman Baker have built a great company and have surrounded themselves with a strong team,” says Sypek.

This latest AWP acquisition in Tennessee comes on the heels of additional expansions in Texas, where two more facilities have opened, as well as new operations in Delaware, and the recent acquisition of All State Traffic Control in Bristol, Connecticut.

“We believe that as our operations expand, so does increased work zone and road safety. This addition to our footprint is exciting,” said Sypek. “AWP and FlagPros will be stronger together and will jointly benefit customers, employees and the motoring public — further advancing AWP’s mission of making roads safer.”
