AWP DIRECTOR NOW SERVING ON WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL COMMITTEE

AWP is pleased to announce that our Director of Compliance, Training, & Engineering, Eric A. Hulme, has been nominated and selected to serve on the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Work Zone Traffic Control for the 2014-2017 term. This committee is part of the National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering. As member of this committee, Mr. Hulme will use his extensive knowledge and expertise to achieve the collective goal of optimizing traffic flow and minimizing hazards to work crews and road users, including pedestrians, in a cost-effective manner during maintenance, construction, and utility operations on streets and highways. The committee hopes to accomplish this with improved methods, procedures, materials, equipment, devices, and systems applicable to traffic control in work zones. They extend to the planning, design, installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of such traffic control zones.
