AWP Safety Community Giving: Salute to Service
The AWP Safety Community Giving Program awarded funding to a local Ohio high school charity event, raising funds to support veterans and those in service. The Hudson Salute to Service fundraising event was hosted by Mark Ludewig, AWP Safety VP of Safety, in conjunction with the Hudson High School lacrosse team. The event included a full day of high school lacrosse games dedicating 100% of any funds raised to a selected charity. The charity selected was Towers to Tunnels.
The Hudson Salute to Service event raised over $12,000 for Towers to Tunnels. Towers to Tunnels benefits families of fallen soldiers and first responders, works to eradicate veteran homelessness, and sponsors programs to support American heroes.
Former NYC Firefighter, Tim Brown, received the check on behalf of the Tunnels to Towers organization. Tim was trapped in the towers on 9-11, and now works within the Tunnels to Towers team.
