AWP Salutes Our Veterans
Countless men and women have made a great sacrifice in serving their country. Some of those individuals are our own AWP Safety team members. We would like to recognize their extraordinary efforts to preserve our freedoms through their military service.
With representation across all branches of the military, many of our veteran team members leverage their military service in their current roles at AWP Safety. Our organization benefits from the experience, leadership and support of veterans who have joined our teams.
“The teamwork and leadership in the military has most helped me at AWP. Being able to work together as one makes all of our jobs not only safer, but we are stronger because of it. Adaptability, being able to adapt and adjust to the new situations or challenges helped a lot as well.”
– Nathan Brooks | Greenville, SC
“I have only been at AWP Safety a short time. Yet, the camaraderie and teamwork I’ve witnessed reminds me so much of the military. It inspires confidence that together we can overcome any and all challenges in front of us!”
– Mark Berndt | North Canton, OH
“As a Motor Transport Operator (88M), I became proficient in logistics, vehicle operations, and safety protocols, all of which translate directly to my current job. At AWP Safety, where I’m responsible for traffic control and ensuring the safety of workers and the public, these skills allow me to quickly assess risks, make informed decisions, and maintain control in dynamic environments. My Army background has also reinforced my sense of discipline and responsibility, qualities that help me stay vigilant in preventing accidents and maintaining safety on site. “
– Anthony Hinds | New Castle, PA
In celebration of Veteran’s Day (and Remembrance Day for our Canadian colleagues) we would like to thank all the veterans that we have among our teams at AWP Safety, those team members who are currently serving, and team members whose family are serving. Your commitment, drive, and courage to stand up for the freedoms of your country inspire us.
Although there is a specific day dedicated to those who have served, please know that we are thankful everyday for your sacrifices. It takes great leadership skills to serve your country, and your commitment is something we will always be grateful for. Thank you for your service. We are honored to have you as a part of our AWP Safety family.
